This delicious vegetable juice is full of alkalising, detoxifying vegetables, plus an apple for a little sweetness. It's a great and simple way to get extra vegetables in your diet and it's especially fabulous for those busy days when we don't have time to sit down for a meal.
Beetroot is an important vegetable for eczema sufferers, as it has strong alkalising properties which boost liver detoxification of chemicals. Beetroot is filled with antioxidants, folate, iron and choline (which helps prevent fatty liver).
Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese and an impressive source of antioxidants. The antioxidants found in cabbage are highly anti-inflammatory, which help to fight systemic inflammation (which can be common in many skin conditions such as eczema).
Carrots are extremely rich in beta carotene, which can help to increase your skin's hydration and protect it from UV sun damage. Beta carotene is converted to vitamin A in the body which also encourages skin cell turnover.
This juice is not super sweet and mostly tastes of beetroot and cucumber. If you're new to vegetable juices, you might prefer to add extra apple or pear for a sweeter flavour.
