As Skin Friend AM and PM contain no sweeteners or flavourings, some little ones may need some extra help to take the powders, so below we have some extra tips on getting these nutrients in each day. Here are some suggestions:
Skin friend AM
Mix Skin Friend AM in chilled filtered water or rice milk, and consume after eating food
Mix into fresh vegetable juice (low-salicylate option: peeled pear, celery, parsley and iceberg lettuce; medium salicylate option: apple*, celery, carrot* and beetroot*)
Mix AM into a smoothie with frozen papaya or banana and rice milk (or non-dairy milk to suit your diet) and blend in a high powered blender
Mix a serve into home-made Pear and Vanilla Jam: mix on a spoon and spread onto toast (see pear and vanilla jam recipe in our recipes section).
Mix into a little pure maple syrup
Mix into pure pear juice
Mix into mashed banana and spread it on toast (such as spelt sourdough or gluten-free bread)
The shot: Mix Skin Friend AM in a little water and serve in a medicine cup or shot glass Drink additional water.
Skin friend PM
Mix Skin Friend PM with chilled rice milk, oat milk or organic soy milk (or milk to suit your allergies and intolerances)
Mix into fresh vegetable juice (low-salicylate option: peeled pear, celery, and iceberg lettuce; medium salicylate option: pear, celery, carrot* and beetroot*)
Freeze into home-made ice-blocks: 1 scoop per ice block (image, above: ice block with blended banana, pinch of saffron, maple syrup, Skin Friend PM and rice milk)
Mix Skin Friend PM into Carob Mylk Tea (click here for recipe) Make your own calcium-rich non-dairy milk: blend cooked brown rice or raw soaked cashews, plenty of water and 4-6 scoops of Skin Friend PM in a high powered blender and blend until smooth (strain liquid if needed)
